The shelter called at the end of October, 2004. They had a 5-month-old male GSP diagnosed with hip dysplasia and something was odd about both his back legs. He ran funny. Mile High GSP Rescue said goodbye to its founding pup last night. Gage and Brandi and Al Anderson started MHGSP Rescue in 2008 out of great concern for the many GSPs who continue to be so in need of finding new, loving homes. Just like people, we know the pups that come through our doors can’t live forever but that doesn’t make it any easier when they make their way over the rainbow bridge. Our hearts break for the wonderful people who came forward and adopted each pup, making sure the days they do have on Earth are as happy as they can possibly be.
