About me:
My name is Molly. Sometimes my Foster Parents (FP) call me Molly Moo or even just Moo. As you can see, I am not a GSP but the rescue saw a picture of my head which looked kind of Pointerish and they wanted me to have an awesome home.
I have been in Colorado thanks to MHGSP Rescue for a couple of months now, and WOW Colorado is amazing!! When I arrived here, I was very, very scared and timid, but I have a great foster family, that has allowed me to decompress and my gentle, playful personality has really started to emerge. I didn’t know life could be this good. With my very own FurEver home, I am sure it is going to get even better.
I am young (maybe 1), but I am pretty chill for my age (so they say). Currently, I have a good walk every day, but for the rest of the day, I do my best to stay as close to my people as possible, sometimes trying to communicate with my gentle (maybe lab) eyes that I would love a belly rub. I wish my foster brother would play with me more, but hopefully you have kids or dogs I can interact with.
I have had boot camp here, and I now understand I need to go outside to do my business (comes with treats when I do that, so that is ok by me!). I also now have a pretty clear idea of the difference between my dad’s shoe (no go) and a dog toy (fun). I know how to use the dog door, but I also WOOF if I need to go outside. I have figured out that I get fed 2x per day which is holy amazing, and about that time I know to go and sit on the mat and just wait every day and poof magic foster dad brings me and my foster brother food. He makes us both ‘sit’ and then puts the bowls down and then says ‘ok’ and I get a bowl full of goodness.
At night I sleep quietly in my crate until my parents are ready to get up. In fact, I quite like the crate. Sometimes I just lie in there because it is comfortable and safe.
I have only met a few children, but they were great, and I enjoyed their gentle pats and I have a feeling it might be fun to have children in my life. My Foster Mum says I am extremely gentle and while I get scared of odd things like noises and new experiences, I am not scared of humans. When I eat, my Mum messes with me and puts her hand in my food bowl. I don’t mind, I am just grateful to have food every day.
I weigh about 45lb and they say I have a lab head, but after that people don’t really know what my mix might be. Does it matter to you? I sure hope not. Please adopt me and I promise I will love you with one-of- a-kind love only a dog can give.
About you:
It would be great if you worked from home or were retired. I have a foster doggo brother, and we get along great, but he doesn’t really play with me and I try and try. I would be ok as an only doggo, but it would be a treat if you had a dog for me to continue to learn from AND to play with. If you have children, I would love that!
Did I mention you must love to give cuddles and belly rubs? I LIVE for belly rubs. I literally groan in joy (that is how I got my second name Moo!). One other thing about me: I have the softest, cuddliest fur! I feel more like a toy than a doggo.
I do have to share, though, that I get terrified of car rides. My FP’s are working with me on it, but I hope you have the patience to help me understand that going in the car is fun, and not something to be feared.
Being loved, cared for, and fed regularly are new things for me. I really hope to continue that, but mostly I just want to be around people. ♥ 🐾
P.S. I met a cat the other day and she scared me!
