Ahnu – ADOPTED
Hi there, my name is Ahnu and I will always be here for you! I am mostly GSP but also have a bit of a spaniel in me so I am especially smart, so says my foster Mom. I learn stuff really quickly and know all my basic commands, sit, stay, come, and down and know how to heel and walk on Mom’s left side, and am house and crate trained. I am not destructive and do not like or need to be crated when Mom goes out to do errands.
I am a youngster, just turned two. I love exercise, followed by cuddling. My foster Mom takes me on jogs (well, she mostly trots) around the neighborhood and we have a big yard. I trained quickly on Invisible Fence and love playing with my fur-sister, who is 3 ½. I love playing tennis ball and Frisbee. I eye the squirrels but so far have been good. I play well with dogs but small ones and cats may not be a good idea. I’ve not been around children but I am friendly so it would probably work well if they are not too young. I love riding in a vehicle, especially with my sister! I would love a home with a dog around my age to mentor me and play with me.
Things have been rough for me lately. My humans had to relinquish me and that was very tough on all of us. I have adapted to my new foster situation very easily in the past couple of weeks, and love my new furry sister and brother, both GSPs. My fur-brother is 11 and elderly so I learned very quickly not to knock him down and play gently. So I am really attuned to your household dynamics. I figure things out really fast.
My foster Mom thinks that I would thrive best in a home with a dog near my own age, and with humans who are around a lot, like someone who works mostly from home or an active retired person, like she is. Because my living situation was disrupted, I need the security of having my human nearby, at least for the time being. Mom is not sure about hunting, in spite of my genes; she is having some work done on the house and the sound of the sledgehammer really scared me.
I am really sweet, wonderful and caring. Did Mom say I was smart, enough? I would love a furever home with you, Thank you, Ahnu!
