Annie – Adopted!
Hi — My name is Annie. I come full of pure playfulness, sweetness, and joy. I am what you call a “Pocket Pointer” since all my cuteness is packed into a smaller body for a GSP. I am just a year old and I am supposedly a pure-bred GSP but I think I might have some other breed in my as well since I am smaller, and have a boxier faceee. I probably weigh in at about 40 lbs.
I came from Texas where my former owner loved me but just did not have enough time to spend with me. He knew that GSP’s need lots of people time, and lots of exercise, and good couches and laps to rest on. That is how I came to be a foster pup with MHGSPR!
I currently live with 3 other dogs, (2 GSP’s and one Alaskan Husky) and one cat. We all get along fabulously. We have sooo much fun playing, and playing more, and just hanging out together. In fact, my forever home needs to have at least one other dog that I could romp around with since I love playing with all my foster siblings.
I am potty trained; however, I always have access to a doggy door and a big backyard so I can come and go as I please. When I am home alone, I am not destructive so I have access to the entire house and backyard. I am crate trained, but now the crate door is always open. I may go in once in a while to chew on a bone, but more often I am out and about.
I get to go on a lot of hikes with my foster mom and 4-legged brothers and sisters and I get to run free and fast since all of us are trained on E-Collars. I also am pretty good at coming when called. As with most GSP’s, I LOVE to run, and run and run. I also have learned to swim and get to do that about once a week as well. The more I do it, the better I get, and the more I absolutely love it!
I really like having people around and love to cuddle on the couch next to my foster mom. She works at home a lot and that is awesome. However, when she leaves the house for work or other things, all of us 4-legged creatures get full run of the house and the backyard – and all is good! I do not chew, but if there is any good smelling stuff on the counter, I may be tempted to check it out . . . I am a dog, after all !
I have not yet met anybody – human or canine – that I did not like. In fact, I always wiggle my way up to any new person or dog, and smile my big GSP smile at them. They always smile back.
I know I have said I am cute — but I guess I am funny and goofy too. In fact, my foster Mom laughs and smiles with me almost every day whether I am wiggling my entire body in joy or doing my superman imitation, or playing with a toy, or sleeping and dreaming.
I am certain I can bring you much happiness and joy — if you can provide love, cuddles, a couch and a lap, and lots of time to run and play.
