Annie
ANNIE (black patch on her shoulder and leg) is the more serious and focused hunter and seems to like all the attention. She is more driven, anxious to get to the next bird! And she loves to get praise. Annie is also more serious and independentand their mom feels she does listen better to a man! She is probably a little more alpha than her sister.
We have two new dogs coming to us who have been hunters: BELLA and ANNIE. They are 3 years old and, although they do not have formal hunt training, they have spent most of their liveshunting. Their owner recently passed away and his wife is a bit overwhelmed with caring for the dogs. They are healthy, up to date on their shots, and each weighs about 60 lbs. They know the commands “sit,” “stay,” and “down” as well as “find the bird” and “let’s do a walk about.” Although they have not been trained on e-collars, their recall is good and they come when called. These girls are outdoor dogs and especially like having their person outside with them while they are running the perimeter of their 1/2 acre of property. Of course, they are high energy pups and love to run and hunt for mice and birds, and to snoop and dig for lizards under rocks. And they love an adventure! Both girls are friendly, playful and happy pups. And they are affectionate, as well. As a precaution, we think it might be best for the girls to have different homes because litter mate sisters often compete with each other for the alpha position as they get older.
