Beau – Adopted!
Hiya! Beau’s the name, chasing frogs is my game. Or tennis balls. Or birds. Or rabbits. Or pinecones. Anyhoo, nice to meet ya!
My former owner was no longer able to take care of me so the nice folks at Mile High German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue scooped me up and I’ve been living the good life with my foster family ever since.
I’m about 4 years old and just LOVE to run. I’m a smart one and know basic commands such as “sit”, “shake”, and “no”, but sometimes I get a little too excited which makes it hard for me to focus. My foster family says I can be “vocal”, but I like to think of it as singing. And boy, do I have A LOT to sing about this wonderful life! I am potty trained and crate trained, and love to curl up on a round dog bed or in my crate with a blanket at bedtime. I’ve never met a toy that I don’t absolutely adore, but I have to admit bones and squeaky tennis balls are my favorites. I’m a pretty active dude and have been known to run laps around the yard so I would definitely do best in a home with a yard. I’m always up for new adventures and do well on a leash so I’d be a great hiking buddy. I haven’t been trained to hunt, but I’m sure I could learn with patience and the right person. I also love my four foster dog siblings and am always excited to meet new furry friends, but my foster family hasn’t seen me around cats yet so proceed with caution. I love getting attention from my people and dog friends alike, but am perfectly happy playing by myself, too.
You should also know I have this thing called Addison’s Disease, but one pill every morning and a shot once a month keeps me happy, healthy, and able to chase frogs for the next ten years or so. Yippeeeee!
So what do ya say? Think we’d hit it off and YOU could be my forever person? I’d sure love to meet ya, so please fill out an application and let’s get this party started. In the meantime, thanks for stopping by, but I have to go chase frogs now. I’ll try to find one just for you!
