Bella – ADOPTED!
These are things I really need to have in my new home:
1) A strong privacy fence, at least 6 feet high
2) Lots of exercise
3) A family that is very active and wants to have fun with me
Bella is my name! Let me be honest: ENERGY should be my middle name. I’m full of it! I’m a GSP, about 3 years old. I am great in the house because I have good manners and I listen well, wanting to please. I know most basic commands but sometimes need a little reminder. I’m happy in a crate if I need to be in one. In fact, I like to sleep in an open crate at night
I’m very playful with other dogs and even though I like playing with toys (especially squeaky toys), I’ll let most other dogs take toys from me. I’ve never shown any aggression towards other dogs. And although I’m very friendly and like being with my humans, especially if they want to play with me, there are times when I kind of want to be on my own. Sleeping in the sun in something I love to do!
I’m a Pointer so, of course, I am very prey driven, especially for squirrels. I can jump really high so I must have at least a 6 ft. fence in my yard to make sure I don’t chase rabbits or other small animals (like cats!) outside of the fence. And a high fence will also keep me safe. Because I am extremely exuberant outdoors (I’ve been called “a little goofy”) it’s really important for me to have a very active family who will play with me and maybe even another dog. My new family also needs to continue obedience training with me and give me lots of opportunities to run, run, run!
