Bron – ADOPTED!
Most important things my new family should know about me:
1) I love playing with other dogs.
2) I am well-trained (obedience) and am very responsive to commands.
3) I’m great with all people.
4) I need a secure back yard with a 6 ft. privacy fence.
5) I need regular off-leash exercise.

I’m Bron, a 2-1/2 year-old purebred GSP. When the rescue met me they were pretty impressed with what a handsome boy I am and couldn’t stop talking about my beautiful head and long ears! They watched me at a dog park and saw how much I love playing with other dogs . . . of all sizes. We had so much fun racing around and sometimes tumbling over each other.
But I can also be very well behaved. My dad has spent a lot of time obedience training me so I know sit, stay, come, down and off. Although I am leash trained, I can heal without a leash. I’ve been hunting with my dad a few times and loved it, but if someone in my new family wants to hunt with me, I will need some further hunt training. I don’t like being in a crate but that’s OK because I’m very good in the house and love to sleep with my dad. He says I’m very affectionate and can be gentle, especially at the end of the day after some good exercise.
I love being with people and that includes kids, even little ones. And dogs? As I said earlier, I LOVE playing with them. I am not really an alpha dog so, according to my dad, I’m really great with other dogs. Probably not cats, though! I’m pretty prey driven like most GSPs.
When I hear my dad talking about me, he says I’m a very happy and friendly boy who loves to play with other dogs and then play some more so it would be really great to have another playful dog in my new family. I will need a back yard big enough to get some good exercise and with a 6 ft. privacy fence (I could easily scale a lower fence). Although I love a lot of playtime with other dogs, I’m also loving and affectionate.
