My name is Dixie and I’m a 7-month-old purebred GSP. I was surrendered by my family after I had been with them only 4 weeks because they said I was too much dog for them. I’m thinking they had never had a GSP puppy before and didn’t know about our energy level.
I’m here in Colorado with a wonderful foster mom who is doing some awesome training with me. I’m learning lots about kennel training and leash training. She says I am doing really well after being with her only a few days.
I am great with other dogs but absolutely cannot be in a home with a cat. My current foster, who is an experienced pointer owner, thought she could manage me with a cat who has experience with dogs but that is not to be. I have a great point but am VERY cat sharp. As you can see, I am a gorgeous, classic GSP.
