Here comes Haggard, a beautiful, almost 1-year old, purebred GSP. His owner wants to find a more appropriate home for this lovely boy because he lives on a homestead with farm animals and has killed chickens. Right, he’s a bird dog! Clearly, he has a strong prey drive and could very likely be trained to hunt.Haggard lives with a Great Pyrenees and they get along great. He has also been around cats and although he is likes to chase them, the owner says he is never aggressive with them. Haggard’s family has several children, ages 1 – 26. He gets along with all of them although he doesn’t like to be bothered by the one-year-old when he is sleeping. He lives both inside andoutside and, though he is crate-trained, he is OK loose in the house since he is also house trained. Haggard is a very playful,adventuresome, friendly, and happy pup but like many GSPs, he is a counter surfer. One of his most endearing qualities is that he is a talker and will let you know he is thirsty or hungry or needs to go outside. The owner loves this boy and says that Haggard is a credit to his breed. He needs an experienced foster home or family who knows the breed well.
