Hannah – Adopted
My name is Hannah, and I am looking for my new forever home! I am a 6-year-old purebred German Shorthair Pointer from Colorado. I am fitting in nicely to my foster family’s home and hope that I can find someone looking for a new companion who loves exploring the outside as well as relaxing!
I have a sweet personality and really enjoy positive reinforcement training. I know sit and kennel and am working on my recall. I know my name and come back when called, just slowly, but always excited when I do. I have good house manners; I am house trained and don’t counter surf. I can spend time in the kennel if needed, but also can be trusted out in the house when no one is home. I spend my nights on the couch, but also sleep on a dog bed next to my foster family’s bed occasionally. I enjoy car rides and am so happy being with people and other dogs! I enjoy children but especially I really love my foster family’s son. One of my favorite activities issitting next to him so I can lean my head on him while he pets me. I am learning how to play since I hadn’t done much of that at all before I came to my foster family. And I finally picked up my first tennis ball which is pretty great even though I don’t play fetch, but I will carry it around! Maybe fetch will come later with my new family.
In true pointer fashion, I love to use my nose while I am outside and on walks. I would probably really enjoy scent work. I don’t pull while on walks and just want to spend some time smelling all the things out there waiting to be smelled! I don’t have a huge prey drive but, like most Pointers, will probably do better without cats or other small animals in my new home. Don’t get me started on mealtime! I am so excited when it is mealtime that I put on a show with my dancing feet. My foster family says I have tappy feet!
As you can tell, I am a pretty well-rounded dog; I really enjoy being active but also have the ability to just chill and hang out when needed. I need someone who will continue showing me the outdoor world and give me all of their pets, too!
