Ice & Matthew – Adopted

UPDATE: 8-01-24 Ice and Matthew are very special GSPs who are not only sweet and gentle but also very easy to have in a family. They love to be with you and to snuggle. They are well trained and very well behaved. But they are also typical GSPs because they love to have their outdoor exercise running off leash. They are about as ideal as GSPs could possibly be and they so deserve to continue their lives in a very loving forever home.

UPDATE: 7-07-24 Matthew and Ice are in a foster home that is awesome. They are getting lots of cuddling and running off leash on trails. Annie, the foster, says they are very social, love to be loved on, are amazing snugglers, and, out on the trails, have great recall. They LOVED being at the huge dog park. She also said they have absolutely “no issues.”

A desperate situation for Ice, 9-1/2 yrs old and her son, Matthew, 8 yrs old, both purebred GSPs. Their elder mom died very suddenly and her husband, who is disabled and hasn’t been able to care for the dogs for months, will be going to a local long term care facility. These two truly lovely dogs have absolutely nowhere to go. Relatives live in another state or out of the country and cannot take these wonderful dogs. A niece says both of these pups are obedience trained and absolute angels with no behavior issues. They just want to be with people to be loved and cared about. The rescue knows we cannot just sit back; we have to help. If you can foster or adopt these two bonded dogs, please text or call the rescue right away.
