Jackson – ADOPTED!
Since my introduction to everyone in November I have done a great deal
of growing up. I do forget the rules sometimes and must be reminded but, in my my own defense, not nearly as much reminding as I used to need.
I still like to play but have slowed down. I don’t pester my GWP sister 24/7 like I used to. I have a lot of room to run so that is where I use most of my energy now. I am getting better on leash. I am a hiking machine, smelling and climbing, hunting. Being out with my humans is my favorite pastime. Those pesky rabbits or toads or squirrels grab my attention, but a gentle tug on my leash is usually all that I need. I really don’t like to be in trouble so I try to stay out of it as much as possible. But when I forget or make a mistake, I lie down and roll on my back to let Mom and Dad know I am sorry.
I love snuggles and cuddles like all GSPs. Movie time at home is GREAT. We all sit on the couch and Dad sneaks me popcorn occasionally!!! I get to lay on the bed at night but usually only stay there for a little bit. I have a doggie bed but never really use it; I prefer the floor under the sofa table.
You don’t need to worry about me around small kids. When the grandbabies are at Nina and Opa’s (aka Mom and Dad) I am very good. I give them a good smell and maybe a kiss and off I go. I prefer hanging out with their furry, four-legged grandbabies.
I really do my best to be a model foster boy because I want a forever home. I want someone to follow around and if my new person doesn’t have land to run on he or she would take me hiking. Someone who likes to sit and watch movies and snuggle would be great. I think that if someone had the time to teach me to hunt I would be good at that, too. And MOST of all, if they have other dogs that would be the BEST!
