Jed – Adopted
Here is little JED who will be arriving at the rescue on June 1stfrom a Houston, TX shelter.
This sweet boy is a small Pointer mix, about 7 months old and about 27 lbs. He was very shy in the shelter so they put him on the euthanasia list. We were contacted on that day and we let them know we would take him into our rescue. He is now in a short-term foster home in TX, waiting to come to us. Jed was very shy when his foster first got him but he is starting to gain some confidence with tail wags. Jed loves to have his earsscratched and back rubbed and he loves to be cuddled on the couch or bed but he sleeps in a crate quietly. He’s very happy when his foster walks into a room where he is and “his tail is going and he gets up to greet me looking for some affection. Jed knows sit and takes treats softly.” At this point he seems to be a pretty low energy puppy. He had one accident in the foster mom’s house on the second day but that hasn’t happened again. Now he potties outside. Jed loves people, sticking close to someone he has become familiar with. He spends lots of time with his “grandma” especially outside while she gardens. Jed is a little hesitant about walking on a leash but this will very likely become much easier as he gains more confidence. He’s still timid, a bit shy around other dogs but is starting to play with his foster mom’s dog. Jed just needs some time to get used to his people and his surroundings before blossoming into the wonderful dog he will become.
We need a Colorado foster or adoption for Jed by June1st. Please text or email the rescue to let us know you would love to step up for this sweet pup.
