Jett – ADOPTED!

Hi everyone! I’m Jett (notice my gorgeous black coat!) and I am not a typical GSP when it comes to energy. My foster mom says I bring calm energy into her home where I have 3 foster GSP siblings. I’m still a puppy and like to play but for a GSP pup I’m also a laid back pup! I’m pretty big for a youngster, 62 pounds and, boy, am I strong. I know most of my commands and I’m good at responding most of the time. Since I’m still a puppy, I do get distracted sometimes but my foster family is working with me on my focus. I am crate trained and stay in there just fine when my foster family isn’t home, but I like to sleep on my dog bed next to my mom at night knowing she is close. I like to be close to her or her children just as often as possible. You see, I am a typical GSP and really like my people.
My foster family has 3 GSP’s for me to play with and my mom says I’m great with other dogs. I am very playful, but submissive so if my new family has another dog I think we would get along great! Although I really enjoy chasing and playing with the other GSPs, it’s also great fun playing catch with one of my people. But what I really LOVE to do is run . . . and run . . . and run.
My foster mom taught me to use the doggie door the 1st night in their home so I have not had ANY accidents! I am a puppy so I like to chew, but I find my bones to satisfy this urge. I do have to admit that I have done some digging but my foster mom is working with me on this, especially because she has a yard with pretty flowers that I like to look at.
I’m a really smart GSP so I know that if my new family will commit to spending time training me I will be such an awesome dog. My foster mom says she is seeing a lot of improvement in my obedience so I just need someone to spend time with me and continue to teach me.
