Lilly – ADOPTED!

Lilly here! I’m a 4-year-old, purebred German Shorthaired Pointer.
Here are the most important things that my new family needs to know about me.
1. I would be most comfortable as an only dog.
2. I am very affectionate and love to cuddle.
3. I need lots of outdoor exercise and adventures, maybe even
hunting again.
4. I need to be fully trained on an e-collar.
5. I would be happiest having a woman as my new owner.
I’m an intelligent and affectionate GSP, anxious to find my new forever home. Since I lived in a home with children before I arrived at the rescue, I am good with kids, even toddlers. I am house trained and know some of my basic commands: sit, stay, heel, and shake. I’m an active girl who loves walking and hiking and I’ve started training on an e-collar. Although I’ve had some hunt training, I haven’t hunted recently but if my new family wants to help me brush up my skills, I’d be happy to hunt again! If my new home is in a residential neighborhood, it would be best for it to have a 6 foot privacy fence to keep me safe and close to home. Car rides are one of my favorite activities, especially when heading to a new adventure! When my foster parents are at work, I free-roam their house with their cat and use the dog door to go outside. And, as an added bonus, I’m a bird dog who leaves chickens alone!
I would do best if I were the only dog in my new family as I prefer to be the queen of my castle and can become a little protective of my foster mom around other dogs.
I’m looking forward to a lifetime of adventures and lots of exploring and running of leash in my new home. And since I’m a big cuddler, I’m hoping for lots of special snuggling time with my future forever family.
