Here I am . . . MURPHY, a 2-3 year-old male and everyone thinks I am a German Wirehaired Pointer even though I have a natural tail. I have been in Arkansas for a while but Mile High GSP Rescue heard about me and wanted to help me find a new home. I am coming to Colorado in early October so they want people to know that I’m ready to find my new family. I stayed in AR for the whole summer and boy was it hot! My owner shaved me but now my coat has grown out again. I stayed here to undergo Heartworm treatment. That’s right. Most dogs here get heartworm and I did, too. But I am done with treatment and am feeling great!
I am a young boy and I have lots of energy but I am not a wild child. I’m good walking on leash and I like riding in a car. I like being around most dogs, especially females and dogs that aren’t too big. I am not very good with male dogs if they are my size or bigger. But my current owner and one of her friends say I am a really sweet boy and I love spending lots of time with my people.
The rescue is anxious for me to get to Colorado so they tell everyone all about me. If you live in Colorado or a neighboring state and want to foster or adopt me, you can fill out an online application at milehighgsp.org or contact the rescue at 720-373-7274
