Myles – ADOPTED!
Hi, I’m Myles! A few things you should know about me:
1. I am great with all other children, dogs and people that I’ve come across!
2. Being in a home where I can spend a lot of time with my family (maybe even cuddling on the couch!) and with another dog to play with would make me happiest.
3. I am completely house broken, doggy-door trained and can be trusted to roam the house alone. I also know basic commands like “sit” and “come”.
4. I have little prey-drive and am a family dog. I have energy, but don’t need enormous amounts of exercise like some other GSPs.
5. One of my only flaws is that I tend to jump on people when I get excited or playful. I will also paw at you when I need affection. This is trainable, but something my owners would need to work with me on.

We’re not exactly sure how old I am but the vet and my foster family believe I am around 3 years old and a pure-bred, male GSP. I was found in an animal shelter in Texas and transported to Denver a couple of months ago. When I reached my foster family, I had recently undergone heart worm treatment, had horribly dry and flaking skin and was very thin. I recovered quickly and am now a fully energetic boy with a beautiful chocolate coat!
My foster family says I’m one of the most loving, cuddly and attached GSPs they’ve ever come across. I love all people, but seem to be extra attached and affectionate with women, so being in a home with a female adult would probably make me happiest. I love to spend my days following around my foster mom– laying at her feet while she works, sitting in the kitchen while she cooks and laying by her bedside at night. I would really love a home where I can cuddle with my family on the furniture.
With that type of attachment, my foster family was expecting major separation anxiety, but I do well when they leave me for short amounts of time. I can be fully trusted roaming the house alone and usually just sit on the stairs and wait for them to come home. I also love playing with my foster brother – I shred toys and play tug-a-war with him all day. My foster family takes me to the dog park regularly where I love to run off leash (I stay close to my family) and do great with the other dogs I meet! I would love for my new family to take me to run off-leash at least once a week and would do great in a family with another dog to play with.
I’ve also been around children – from ages 1-7 – and do great. I’m a gentle guy, I just sometimes get excited or playful and jump-up. This is trainable, but something my new family will need to work with me on – especially if children are involved.
I love deeply and need a family that will love me back just as deeply.
