Roxy – ADOPTED!

Hi! My name is Roxy. I am a 4-year-old GSP/Akita mix and am always seeking adventure, especially if it is with my family! I love to explore, so plotting ways to escape a fenced yard is my specialty! I am very intelligent, full of energy, and affectionate. I am looking for a forever home where I will preferably be the only dog or maybe one large breed male dog. I am too curious about small animals and birds so I should also be in a home that doesn’t have them around. I would also do best in a home where there are not any children or teenagers. So, basically, I need a single person or a couple who are both pack leaders all the time.

My ideal home would also have plenty of acreage for me to explore and run around on. I currently need more practice walking on the leash, being recalled, and staying. I am getting better with down but I am good at off and sit! I don’t play with toys much right now but I occasionally do chew on Nyla bones. I am kennel/crate trained and like to sleep in one at night. And I am also house trained! I will do my best to stand by a door, maybe do a little whining and scratching, to let you know I need to go outside.
In addition to running to explore and go on adventures, my other favorite pastime is to be with my people, loving to spend time cuddling with them!
