Here is RUBY, 22 months old. Pretty precious, isn’t she? We just got a call from her owner asking for our help in finding her a new, more appropriate home. He got her to be his hunting buddy but has discovered that she has little interest in birds and is afraid of gun fire. But he does know that Ruby is a really sweet girl. She is very affectionate, loving to give kisses. She is great with other dogs but the owner doesn’t know about children or cats. He is retired and spends lots of time with Ruby. She loves car rides! She is housebroken and very comfortable in the house and loves sleeping on her owner’s bed and on the couch. Ruby has not challenged the owner’s fence and is not a digger. She came from an 80-acre farm so her owner feels she won’t do well in a home with a small yard. She is used to having lots of running room. He knows the breed well and says Ruby is a really wonderful little girl but she just won’t be a hunter. He would like to find a new home as soon as possible so he won’t become even more attached to her than he already is.
