Sally – ADOPTED!
Most important things to know about me:
1) I love being with my people and hope they are around much of the time.
2) I am very sweet and affectionate. I love being loved and pleasing my family.
3) I like being with most kids, just not toddlers
4) Although I get along with most dogs, I could be an only dog. I do not, however,
do well with small dogs.
5) I love being outdoors and being able to run!
Hi, I’m Sally, a 2-year-old, purebred German Wirehaired Pointer. I have come from a family
who needed to find a perfect new home for me. My sister and I were raised on a farm in
another state and were kenneled outside but we are now in Colorado living indoors. We are
acclimating to living indoors and are doing well although it is a new environment for me. I am
crate-trained and have had a little hunt training, too. I am also house-trained, never having
accidents in the house, and will let you know when I need to go outside.
I love being with people and my temporary foster says I am very sweet, an absolute love. I
might not be the right dog for small children (toddlers) but I’m great with everyone else. I live
now with a few other dogs, including my littermate sister. I’m the alpha with her so we don’t
always get along but that is pretty common with female siblings. One is always the alpha and I
think that would be me. But I’m OK with other dogs my size or even bigger. Little dogs? I don’t
love being with them and have shown some aggression with some of them so it would be best
for me to find a family who doesn’t already have a small dog. I’m fine with other dogs, though,
but I would be OK as an only dog as long as my people are around. I don’t know how I would be
with cats because my foster family doesn’t have any of those.
As I mentioned before, I would also be best in a home with people who are around a lot during
the day. I am very affectionate and gentle and would love spending lots of time with them. And
I love pleasing the people in my life. I’m a happy and playful girl and I look forward to having
adventures with my new family. I think I would love having a family who would give me a lot of
outdoor exercise and who would return the affection I want to give to them.
