Sissy

Hi, everyone! I am SISSY, a GSP and a brand, new momma. The rescue doesn’t know whether or not I am a purebred, but my foster mom says I am one of the sweetest dogs she’s even fostered. She helped me whelp my 14 puppies in June. They are all gone now so I am ready to come to Colorado to find my very own home. I am about 5 years old and weigh 45-50 lbs.

My foster mom says that I am crate trained AND water bottle trained! But even though I am OK in a crate, I would really like to sleep on the bed with you so I guess that proves that I am, indeed, a GSP. And I love being with other dogs. Cats? I get along with them but I will chase them if given the chance. And I also love car rides! I  am very accustomed to being in the house but you do need to watch me around stuff in the kitchen. Unfortunately, like many GSPs, I am a counter cruiser. You’ll just need to keep enticing things off the counters in the kitchen so I’m not tempted.

Much of the last 3 months my life has been all about being pregnant and then having and nursing my babies. I am so ready to have my own life again so I can be a typical GSP who loves to spend time with my family and get regular exercise. I definitely need a yard with a secure 6 ft. fence because I have gotten over a 4 ft fence. . . of course I have! My current foster family thinks I am quite wonderful and would love to keep me but they just have too many other dogs. So it is time for me to have my own home and, especially, my very own family. I can hardly wait!
