Sophie – ADOPTED!

Hi, my name is Sophie. I am pretty certain I am a purebred GSP and am about 5-1/2 years old. The reason I am up for adoption is that my prior owner very suddenly died, and, sadly, she left me and two other GSPs behind. My Mom was hardly ever gone and I was very close to her. It has been soo hard without her, but I am really doing much better now!

I am currently living with 4 other dogs and my foster Mom. I get along perfectly fine with the other dogs, although I really do not play much with them. So, she actually thinks that I would do fine being an only dog … that way I could always get to sit next to my mom or dad on the couch and just spend a lot more time with them. I don’t need to be crated when my foster mom is off doing errands or even working, but that could be because there are other dogs in the house. And, of course, I’m completely housebroken. I’m allowed on furniture and I love cuddling with my foster Mom, especially at the end of the day. And then it’s especially great being able to sleep with my foster Mom, just like with my own Mom. I am a very sweet girl and Iove all people and all dogs. I also love, love, love to run, and chase birds. I could spend almost all day outside running and stalking. But I also absolutely love riding in the car. We typically go fun places, and it’s so much fun staring out the window and just looking around. And that also means I get to be with my foster Mom!

Right now I have access to a big yard, with a high fence, and I can come and go as I please through a doggie door. That would be best for me in my new home, too. My new family would have to have at least a 5 foot fence to keep me close by. Also, I would not do well with a cat, nor chickens, since they are way too interesting to me.
It seems like my foster Mom only has nice things to say about me. She thinks I am a very easy keeper, and would want to make any family happy!
